So i am about to take the plunge and try to use 1.25MM backup packages created by D3aD3DiTZz , I am following this guide http://www.se7ensins.com/forums/threads/how-to-install-mod-menu-on-ofw.1292075/
my main questions are these:
- This still works for online?
- Chances of being banned even if in private lobby?
- Can i still use my original main account after testing on a dummy?
As another step before doing all of this i am unlinking my main account from the ps3 being used. Made a new gmail, and psn account. And will be completely formating the ps3. Is there anything else i should do or look out for? I am mainly trying to avoid a console ban as i only have 1 ps3 right now, i dont mind just a simple account ban.

Yes, there is always a chance of getting banned. If your using it as usb mod , after you are done modding the acct You want to get if off the machine. by deleting the install for the GTA 5 in the game save utility folder, and than to do a quick reformat, that way no trace showing up after you re-install the Gta 5... been doing that for a while and no problems.. Although scuttlebut is that as long as your not trying to do harm and troll their not bothering as much with the ps3 crowd. IMO

1. Works online but you ll only see with people that has the same package installed.
2. I modded a dummy account and my account after that, but that was before the 1.26 release. I can still login and play but Im not sure if the mod menu can be detected. Ive heard Rockstar now traces the money transactions for "strange" moves.
So try to use the K&K to give yourselve cash only as "job earned". Put you Social Club account on private so you cant be reported and avoid things like raising to rank 8000 or 10 billion money.
3. If you wanna be real safe, test the dummy account, and do what you want to do to your main account. Uninstall the ModMenu, use the dummy for a couple weeks. If no ban, install the Mod Menu again, mod your main account, uninstall the mod Menu and DONE.
I modded the dummy, played around 3 or 4 days with it, and then modded my original, without uninstalling the MM. That was before the 1.26 update and I only modded them to rank 120 and 70 Million(dummy) and 97 and 40 Million (original), so I guess i from the careful kind.
Im thinking about trying CFW but havent found a good updated tutorial. My PS3 is SuperSlim CECH-4311C with 4.76 firmware.
Ias far as Ive heard, the only way to jailbrake it is to open it and downgrade to 3.55 with the E3 chip but ive found links like these: http://ps3portal.net/ps3-4-76-jailbreak/ that say I only need and USB, but I dont care about playing pirated games but about going only without being banned. Theres also guides like this: http://www.se7ensins.com/forums/threads/ps3-modding-faq.443029/ that seem to be a bit old guide to jailbreak, but not to install the mod menus for GTA.
Ive read terms like CEX and DEX, Rebug, Cobra ODE but I cant find a glossary or an step by step method to mod in GTA V as with D3aD3DiTZz ModMenu.
